Ethan learned a new word yesterday... "stuck!"
In the morning, when I went to get him up, I noticed that he had put his foot in sideways between the slats of the crib. "Are you stuck?" I asked. That was all it took - he caught on to the new word immediately!
"Stuck!"
"Stuck!"
I heard it all morning during breakfast and while we were getting ready to leave.
Later that afternoon, when I picked him up from his first Wednesday at the Wrights (with his buddy Isaac), I was putting him into his carseat and the shoulder strap was a little tight against his arm. He turned and looked at me and said, "stuck!" And then, after dinner, he was trying to get out of his highchair and got... stuck. So we heard it again all evening.
"Stuck!"
"Stuck!"
It's exciting, though, that not only did he learn a new word he also understands the meaning of the word.

I love the word 'stuck!' Kaitlyn says it too and everything is stuck. She also asked to be buckled in the cart and stroller by saying 'stuck.' Isn't it amazing to watch them learn?!
Yay for new words! He is really smart! Just wait till he starts getting stuck on purpose, just so he can say it :) The trip was good, I assume you mean Boston, unless you mean California and Sunriver, which was also fun. We're gone a lot!
It is amazing how quickly they pick up on things like that!
Jackson loves to say "I stuck!" It's so fun and so helpful when they start learning how to use words to tell you what they want, need, etc. I love it. Makes life that much easier
