Ethan is learning new words and expanding his vocabulary every day. It amazes me. It also makes me think twice before saying, "Oh, crap!" No need for our little parrot to pick up that choice phrase. :) So recently we have been working on numbers, abc's, colors and shapes. He can identify a handful of colors, especially on cars or trucks. "Blue truck." "Grey car." "Green van." and can repeat the alphabet one letter at a time (we haven't tried anything more than that). And just this last week he has been counting on his own. It's very exciting. I've heard him count 1 to 5 on his own and 7 to 10, but he hasn't quite put it all together. He can, however, count to 13 when someone starts him at 1... he'll do every other number for you and that's what I managed to get on video.
Of course, lately he's been refusing to do his new trick when I ask if he wants to "count with mommy?" He flat-out tells me "no" and continues pointing out various vehicles as we drive down the road... we usually practice numbers and letters on our daily commutes between home and grandma's house. So... enjoy this short little video. Apparently I should be happy I got it while I could!

Wow, he's so excited! That is super cute.
Ok, Ethan in the dryer is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. You are awesome for working out and BRAVE for putting it online for all to see! For whatever reason, it's HARD to keep up the work out regimend. I LOVE kick boxing too and am ALL about the classes.
Oh my goodness! That's SO cute how he said 13, and the grin is priceless! TFS!
I love that he is so excited. Very cute!
Counting that is huge! Good Job! He counts well, even if it is every other number!
OMG, so adorable! :)
