My grandparents Toftdahl were up in Vancouver a couple weekends ago for a funeral but they came by to visit for a couple hours and it was great to see them! And they came bearing gifts... a nice, big bouquet of fresh daffodils - one of my favorite flowers! How can you not love the bright, sunny vibe they put off?? I put them in a Mason jar and tied the yellow ribbon on - LOVE it! There was just something so country and homey seeing those daffodils in a Mason jar instead some fancy-schmancy vase. And I kept them on our coffee table in the living room so that I could admire them from my death bed on the couch - that was the week I was sick... again. Round three. Ugh. But I'm better now and wishing I had a fresh bouquet of daffodils!
Happy Spring!!

So pretty! I learned the other day that the sticky stuff daffodils put out at the stem is toxic to other flowers so you shouldn't mix them unless you go to extra lengths (soaking them separately or something else...I don't remember) first.
