Time to start a new chapter in my life...
I had lived in Oregon, specifically Springfield (other than my first few days of life at Sacred Heart hospital in Eugene), my entire life - but as of January 16th I am officially a resident of the state of Washington. I know. It's hard to believe, but at the same time I am loving it here! I LOVE our new place. I've now lived in 5 different homes - 3 since Sean and I were married in '05. We've actually lived more places than my parents have since they were married! And my sisters have been in the same house their whole lives.
But back to the new place... TWO, count them: one, two full bathrooms. I'm in heaven and loving having a guest bathroom to decorate. We call it "Ethan's bathroom" though and he even knows right where to store his stool. The living room is bigger - big enough to fit all the same furniture we had in our previous living room with the addition of our 2nd end table, DVD rack and CD tower thing. Oh, and the upright grand piano! I love our living room. The dining room and kitchen are a little smaller, but that's to be expected because we had an insanely large dining room for a duplex that size. And, on the plus side, what the kitchen lacks in floor square footage it makes up for in cupboard and counter-space. Also, I have a laundry room! It's a good size too - plenty of extra space with the washer, dryer and filing cabinet in there. So, no, we didn't end up in an apartment with all the extra amenities, etc, etc. but we have a huge backyard and nice size garage to make up for it. And yes, pictures are coming!!!
Let's see, what else about Washington? We are about 5 minutes (if that) away from a Costco/Home Depot shopping complex complete with a... Krispy Kreme! Oh, help me! I already have my first donut order from one of the guys at work - I'll swing by early on my way back down to Oregon. We're about 7-8 minutes away from the mall and 10 minutes from the super Wal-Mart - which I braved yesterday! Sunday was our first day in our new ward - it's weird to be the new people and I will miss our old ward a lot. But this ward seems nice - very welcoming and lots of kids Ethan's age.
Life as a mostly stay-at-home mom definitely has its ups and downs. Ethan and I are adjusting to being together so much! We both need to work on our patience a little, but for the most part I think we're both happy to be home. :) I've been pretty busy unpacking, organizing and beautifying our new place but we're slowly falling into a routine. I'm hoping that will begin to include more exercise time and more blogging! Until then, this will have to do.

Yay, new house in a new state! If you can't live in Oregon, I'd say Washington is the next best place!
Where are the pics?
I'm a full time stay at home mom and I'm STILL working on my patience.
Especially today.
Yeah!! A new blog to read! I have missed your updates! And now I will actually read them, because I hardly see you anymore!! lol
The extra bathroom IS nice. I am glad that there will be two baths in my apartment. That would be HECK with more girls I don't know trying to share ONE bathroom. YEP, not doing that!
We are both doing new things this year, you guys moved to washington and I will be moving to Utah to an apartment. Weird huh?!
We have to have some kind of sisters thing before I leave. What do you think of a Lizzy and I coming up on a Friday night, Saturday going to Forks, WA and then going to church with you guys the next day? (I know, its ALL weekend, but hey! You won't see me til the end of the year!!) :)
Miss you guys!
BTW...its time to say goodbye to the Christmas music....
I second that, Christine. ;)
I'm so excited for you guys! Packing and unpacking and decorating is fun. Although I'm sure I"m having a much easier time of it without a two year old under my feet all the time! I'm sure you two will adjust and you'll be LOVING it very soon!
Wow. I can't believe you're actually gone. I got an email about you moving while I was in Utah and figured I wouldn't be able to see you before you left. sniff sniff I am glad, however, that you like your new place. And patience? Today I realized that even though I thought I'd be a better mother at the age I am now, I decided not so much after being over-frustrated with just the dog. hahahaha Livie tested my patience a bit too. I think I did relatively ok with her though... Anyway, keep up the blog posts so we all know what you're up to!
You should totally check to see if there is a Stroller Strides in your area. You might even be able to try it free for a week. I'm interested to know what you think about it. You can check it out at strollerstrides.com. Me and Spencer love it and it has kept me working out the most consistent since college.
