Ethan Update

So, I was looking through some old posts the other day [disgusted by the number of half-finished posts I need to work on and get up here] and realized that although my little Ethan is more often than not the #1 topic of my conversation, I haven't really done an update on him in a long time. And, this happens to work out perfectly since I just took him in for his 3-year wellness check-up, but that was mainly to meet his new doctor. As of August 9, 2010 [at age 3 years and 4 months] Ethan weighed in at a whopping 32lbs. [fully dressed but shoes off] and measured up at about 38 inches, give or take a squirm!
Here's a quick update on our favorite little guy's favorites:

* Favorite Foods: Cucumbers!! [He eats 1/2 to a full one almost every day.] Fruit, including apples, bananas, grapes, watermelon, pineapple, pears, peaches, strawberries and cherries. Cold cereal [just about any kind - he loves everything from the uber-healthy-high-fiber-stuff-that-only-adults-usually-eat to Cocoa Puffs and Honey Nut Cheerios!], goldfish crackers, pasta, fruit snacks, pickles, pepperoni pizza, tacos, mac-n-cheese, Mom's blueberry muffins, string cheese, yogurt and Doritos [specifically the Nacho Cheese variety]. A typical lunch plate for him includes 1/2 PB&J sandwich, string cheese, cucumber slices, apple slices and since he's so good about eating the healthy stuff on his plate, a handful of Doritos.

* Favorite Books: Just about anything that has to do w/ trucks! I also got him a Toot-n-Poodle book in Utah and he likes that one quite a bit. Others high on his go-to read list are Very Hungry Caterpillar, How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food, Critter Cafe, Never Take a Shark to the Dentist, and other silly books. Silly books are a must!

* Favorite Movies/Shows: TV - Phineas & Ferb, Little Einsteins, Charlie & Lola, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mater's Tall Tales. Movies - Cars, Meet the Robinsons, Monsters, Inc. [which we don't actually own - just borrowed from some friends at church!], Toy Story [don't own that one either - it's just recorded on the DVR!], The Incredibles, Muppet Treasure Island and just about anything Disney.

* Favorite Things to Do: Ride his tri-cycle, be outside, play in his sandbox, play cars & trucks, play with friends, color [sometimes], bug daddy, bug mommy even more, play with his "dragon castle" and play with his Matchbox size Cars characters [McQueen, The King, Doc, Sheriff, Sally, etc.] while watching the movie Cars at the same time.

* Friends: All the Coleman kiddos, but especially Mikey and Maddy, Sarah and Ethan Dahl, Sam Winder, (2nd) cousins Jackson and Baron [which live the closest], cousin Spencer [Cali, so a "little" closer] and cousins Jonathan, Ella and Leia [even though they live clear over in PA and we haven't met little Leia yet!]. Oh, and the other Nursery kids at church [don't know names] and the neighbor-boy Brayden.

He has the cutest, contagious smile!

You're lucky to have such a good eater in that boy, that must be nice. E loves cucumbers too. I think it's so weird how he'll just eat one like an apple. Crazy boys.

How are you liking washington?
