That's how long it was between Ethan's latest Breath-Holding Spells. The last one had been a pretty mild one, but it was right in the middle of sacrament meetingn 3 Sundays ago. Luckily I was able to lay him down on my lap so no one really noticed and he came out of it pretty quickly. Last night, though, he did it twice within 1/2 an hour. The first one was actually the first time it had been a direct result of tantrum - but still involuntary. We had already set him down on the ground to "give him some time to calm down" and he had an attack. My sister was over to baby-sit while we went to a movie, so in a way, it was good for her to see what happens during an attack. She got an even more hands-on example, though, when he did it again after we had headed out to the car. She was holding him that time, so it scared her quite a bit (we were watching through the front window) but she handled it well and we were able to go ahead with our date.
I can't help but feel guilty for at least one of the attacks last night. I think he just wanted to be with me - I didn't see him much at all for 3 days - just in the morning and at night. Thursday I worked and left for a baby shower while he was down for a nap. Friday I worked and then we were busy with the hospital tour, etc. And then Saturday it was my turn in the rotation to work, so I was gone all day again (yep, a 6-day work week - yuck!) and then we were headed to the movie.
He had just one more minor attack today - again in sacrament meeting, but not enough that people would really notice. I've gotten to spend most of the day with him and this week isn't nearly as busy, so hopefully we've filled our quota and can go another 3 (maybe more?!?) weeks with no attacks. Cross your fingers - especially while I'm at Girls Camp!
PS: We saw the new Batman movie - The Dark Knight - and it was AWESOME! Sean and I highly recommend it!!

The poor dear. I am so glad that you and Sean handle things so well.
It must still be unnerving to see Ethan have a spell, even knowing everything is OK!
We saw Dark Knight on Saturday too ... and I agree, it was so good!
I bet nothing has been as terrifying as it was down here - that still gives me the chills! Cassie tells people I "saved" Ethan! Isn't 14 year old drama something! I was proud of her though and the calm way she called 911 - Alysha too.
Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but yeah some of us did notice... (I saw K & D Bradford turning around as you walked out of the chapel ;) It's scary! And yes, you do handle it well.
